Entrepreneurs in the ideation phase generally have a great idea, have a skill, or have a key resource or property, but haven’t started selling their goods or services yet.
EARLY ENTREPRENEURS in the STARTUP Phase
Entrepreneurs in the startup phase are generally producing goods or services and selling them to customers. They might not be profitable yet, and might be trying to grow their business. This includes many food and farming businesses in their first 5 to 10 years in business.

Entrepreneurs will connect with business consultants, service organizations, and other entrepreneurs through interactive sessions, networking activities, and the direct messaging functionality in the virtual platform.
MARKET Your Business
Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to promote their business in the exhibition area of the virtual platform. Providing links and/or promotional codes will direct attendees to buy your products during the conference.

More FEED SUMMIT Details
FEED stands for Food Entrepreneurship Ecosystems Development, and is the major initiative that I’m spearheading under Extension’s Community Food System Program. The Feed Initiative has two major education outreach components: the annual Fall Summit (FEED Summit) and an annual Spring webinar series (FEED Webinars).
Practice Sessions for EXHIBITORS
Practice sessions are for anyone who has a role in coordinating, facilitating, speaking, presenting, or exhibiting at the FEED Summit. The purpose of practice sessions is to ensure your familiarity with the virtual conference platform, called “Hopin.” During a practice session, you will (1) log into the Hopin platform, (2) practice using the Hopin platform video and chat functions, (3) practice using any other Hopin features that you’ll want to use during the Live Summit on Nov 14-15, and (4) Ask Jessica any questions you have.
