Charlie is an environmental health professional and Licensing Specialist at the Wisconsin Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. He conducts food safety inspections and ensures that businesses are in regulatory compliance to achieve safe products for end consumers. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and earned a degree in Environmental Studies.

Extension Facilitator: Joseph Wendell Miller, Community Development Educator, Extension Iron County

Joseph has a diverse educational and work history, from learning hazardous waste cleanup at the Chemical Defense Training Facility in Fort Leonard Wood, MO to serving as Director for a small municipal library. He has been with Extension in Iron County since September 2023 as part of the Community Economic Development program, and his work is focused in entrepreneurship, placemaking, and digital equity. Joseph is a snow dog who loves finding creative ways to implement zines into his Extension work and can’t imagine living anywhere other than the south shore of Lake Superior.
