“Food Safety in Wisconsin: Licensing for Your Mobile Food Business” is a live Zoom webinar which took place on Monday, April 22 at 2pm. Extension Educator Lissa Radke and Licensing Specialist Nichole Abbott discussed the process for getting your Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) license to operate a mobile food business. This workshop was relevant for anyone who wants to serve food at a farmers market, festival, or food truck site.

Nichole Abbott, Licensing Specialist at DATCP
Nichole is a Food Scientist Advanced-Licensing Specialist at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection. She has over two years of experience with DATCP and over 20 years of experience in food safety. In her hometown of Berlin, WI, Nichole enjoys hiking with her children and the nearby trails and parks. She is passionate about food safety. As a licensing specialist, she supplies people with the information that they need to start their food-related business safely.

Lissa Radke, Community Development Educator
Lissa conducts educational programs to assist leaders, communities, and organizations to enhance knowledge and take action to improve the quality of life Ashland County communities. She focuses on building sustainable communities, renewable energy, local government education, organizational and leadership development, food security, and climate change and community resilience.
