“Getting to Know Your Local Small Business Development Center (SBDC)” webinar was live on Zoom on April 3 at 1pm where we heard from Extension Educator Patrick Nehring and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UW-Green Bay to learn about how to work with your local SBDC. We also heard from a Wisconsin food entrepreneur to learn about how the SBDC helped their business start up and grow over the years.

David Stauffacher, WI SBDC

Dave Stauffacher, a Senior Business Advisor with Wisconsin’s Small Business Development Center located within the Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, offers his services to clients in our northeast region of Wisconsin.  His longstanding professional career is diverse with leadership positions in banking, finance, marketing, and manufacturing operations.  David is a Wisconsin native with a supportive connection to our state’s educational system with degrees at UW-Whitewater and UW-Oshkosh.

David has a known passion to assist small business clients throughout their journey toward success. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys the Wisconsin outdoors with his love of fishing the finest waterways of our state.

Patrick Nehring, UW-Madison Extension

Patrick Nehring is the Community Development Educator/Professor for UW-Madison Extension Brown and Kewaunee Counties. Patrick has been providing community development education for Extension for 23 years. He is passionate about sustaining the communities of Wisconsin.

He is located in Brown County, where people general look out for each other and work together, where there are opportunities to bike, cross country ski, and attend local events, and where there is a pretty good community owned football team near the Bay.
