“Successfully Find Customers for Your Food Business: Lessons from a Wisconsin Food Cooperative” webinar was live on Zoom on April 24 at 1pm where we heard from Kelly Maynard, Co-op Development Specialist at the UW-Madison Center for Cooperatives, to learn about the process of identifying and connecting with your customers. We also heard from a local food cooperative about how they found customers when launching their food business and how they have continued to build their customer base while growing the business.

FL co-founded South Central Hemp Co-op February 14, 2019, focusing on production and marketing of high quality CBD Hemp. FL also has 18 years experience in vegetable/livestock production and sales.
FL lives rurally in central Green County, Wisconsin. She enjoys the near constant wildlife sightings, star-gazing, and the quiet of her farmhood, but also that Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago are all close enough to find work and play.

Kelly is a Cooperative Development Specialist at the University of Wisconsin Center for Cooperatives.
Kelly has 9 years of experience supporting cooperatives and 13 years of experience in food systems work. She is passionate about teaching people to work and make decisions together productively, whatever their purpose!
Kelly feels lucky to live, work, garden, paddle, hunt, and frolic outside Belleville, Wisconsin on the West Branch of the Sugar River.
